Remy Raglan Workshop
Break into the world of garment sewing in this 3 day workshop and walk away with your very own, self-made top!
Day 1: All about PREP! During this session you will pick up your pattern, and we will discuss how to measure yourself and find the right size. We will also be looking at fabric options that work best, and how to use your pattern. There will be no sewing during this class and you will be sent home with homework (Tracing your pattern and washing/drying your fabric).
Day 2: We will begin cutting out the pieces for our shirts and piecing them together using the French seam method. There will be an hour break for lunch.
Day 3: Sewing the remaining steps and adding finishing touches!
A few things you can expect to learn in this workshop:
-Pattern Prep
-Tips and tricks for getting the most out of your sewing pattern
-How to measure yourself and choose the right size using the pattern chart
-Sewing French seams, but also discussing alternative options
-Embellishment ideas for future projects!
Students will be responsible for bringing enough fabric for the project. We will discuss the proper fabric options in the first class. Students signed up for the workshop will receive 15% off their purchase of fabric to use in class. If you have fabric that you want to use, please bring it to the first day of class so that we can make sure it will work well for this project.
**Please note that this workshop takes place over 3 days. Before signing up ensure you are able to make all 3 sessions as there will not be a make up date. Cancellations made a week or more in advance are eligible for a refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to first class date will NOT be eligible for a refund.

| Skill Details: | Class will learn garment construction using a confident beginner pattern that uses french seams. Class will focus on measuring, cutting, fabric selection, accurate seam allowances, and following a pattern. |
| Materials Included: | Pattern only is included, additional materials are required. |
| Requirements: | Requires basic machine sewing knowledge. Must be familiar with threading machine, changing stitches, general stitch applications, fabric cutting, etc. Recommended for sewists that have completed the Beginner Sewing class. Must bring fabric, matching thread, and any notions needed. Necessary items are available for purchase after first class session (where we discuss fabric requirements) at 15% off for students. If a you need to rent a sewing machine for class, please choose that option when checking out. Class requires homework. |
