Serger 101
Threading a serger can feel SEEEWWWW intimidating!!! No worries, we'll walk you through threading and get you comfortable using a serger by making a sweet project! You will learn the basics of serging.
You'll need a serger for this class. Don't have one? We can help...we sell them and we also have rentals available. Premium rentals also available if you want to try out air threading machines! Just purchase the premium serger rental separately.
Note: This workshop is 5.5 hours. We will be taking a lunch break. You may bring a lunch or go out for lunch. Feel free to bring a drink, just please make sure it has a lid.
What we will cover:
-How to thread the machine
-What the most common stitches are and what they are used for
-How to make adjustments to the machine based on the fabric you are using
-Reinforce all of the above by sewing a t-shirt using only a serger!
-Discuss proper maintenance of your machine
